Wyoming Mural

A family friend of ours, Dawn Newquist, asked me to do a mural of a Wyoming waterfall in her niche. Their house is huge and beautiful, it's interior design inspired by Jackson Hole, a town at the base of the Grand Tetons. I worked with around five different photographs of waterfalls, mountains, and trees, and blended them into one scene, working in colors from the rest of the house.

Portrait of Zach Newquist

Zach just graduated high school and is soon to leave for West Point, and Mrs. Newquist commissioned me to paint a portrait of him. I went ahead and added the photo that I worked from.

Megan

This is a 24" x 24" portrait of my sister Megan on the beach in Florida. I had some free time after midterms :)

3-D Shell Illusion

I was commissioned to paint values on a flat, white surface to give the illusion that there was an indented shell. I actually enjoyed tossing out the color aspect of the mural and fully embracing values.

French Bedroom

I recently finished this mural for a ten year old girl's bedroom. They wanted something with pink and black. She's a cheerleader, and wanted a fashion/diva/French theme. Here's what I came up with!

The style of this room was different from anything I'd done before, and I enjoyed the challenge and creativity. They had a beautiful house set in the country, and Mrs. Felton and her family were incredibly fun and kind while I worked away upstairs.
